Measured Extravagance

18 March 2004 - 7:05 p.m.

The week in review:

Diagnosed with acute bronchitis and sinusitis. Have antibiotics and codeine now. Might go find some ginger beer, too.

Barack Obama won the Illinois Democratic primary (Senate).

Vanderbilt's in both the men and women's tourneys. Go Commodores!

Some folks at the State Lege want to prohibit recognition of civil unions in Tennessee. Memphis Senator Steve Cohen was the lone vote on the Judiciary Committee against the bill.

Socrates is inflicting my work on his AP class again: As he pointed out, I get to share a page with Keats and Elvis - specifically Richard Davignon's "Elvis is Dead, Bubba." Hee!

The trees have started to flower.

Two years ago, I was "supposed to be working on my taxes and finishing up a calligraphy project." Sigh. Scallops and spinach, first.
