Measured Extravagance

03 February 2002 - 11:48 p.m.

Got back from Kentucky in time to head over to Ter's, where he fed those assembled an array of chips, salsa, popcorn, salad, ziti and King Cake while we beheld such beautiful sights as David Patten's leap, catch and fall, right hand planted firmly in the end zone even as he rocketed out of bounds, and Lonie Paxton on his back just after the last field-goal cleared, flapping his arms and legs snow-angel style with celebratory abandon.

The BYM had to shut me up as I started singing "Hail to the Victors" (Tom Brady is a U-M grad).

Yeah!
